Explore Filey

Nestled on the North Yorkshire coast, the former fishing village of Filey boasts five miles of beautiful beaches, rockpools to explore and the start of the Cleveland way. Quieter than the nearby seaside resort of Scarborough, its the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of modern life. Here are our recommendations for a wonderful stay.

Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park.

The Bird Garden and Animal Park is one of our favourite places to visit. Just a short walk from our location. Here you'll find exotic birds, small and large mammals and a very inquisitive meerkat family. Its very easy to spend the day here- you can wander round the beautiful gardens, take a break for a picnic in the wooded area, and have a chat with Charlie the African Grey parrot. Time seriously flies- just make sure you take the time to feed the alpacas, and catch a glimpse of Jango, the Asian  leopard cat.
